Our Pre-School in Sandbach

Our pre-schoolers follow a daily routine full of planned activities, play time, out door play and circle time. They have continuous provisions such as sand, water, sensory and malleable materials, paint and mark making facilities, gluing and crafty items all of which are self accessible and available at all times during the day. The adjoining room has lots of toys and activities on offer. There is construction equipment, role play and home corner, small world, musical instruments, and puzzles. Alongside this, there are miniature toilets, sinks and hand dryers to encourage children to toilet independently and confidently. Children are encouraged to participate in self service at snack times and meal times and are asked to share out cups and plates along with lots of other independent life skills.

Children in this room regularly sit down for ‘circle time’. This is a social time for the children to have a group discussion, story time, singing and group activity time. In particular, physical exercise is encouraged daily and this may be done indoors in the form of games and activities or singing and dancing, or it may be done outdoors enjoying different weathers. We teach the importance of healthy living and try to get outside and get fresh air as often as possible. Also, we plant fruit and vegetables and watch them grow before tasting our wonderful produce. We care and look after our nursery pets which provide us with many important life skills.
